Rev. Ken Stallings has been pastor of Forest Home since 1987.  Prior to that, he served on the pastoral staff at College Church of the Nazarene in Olathe, Kansas, where his responsibilities included visitation, single adult ministry, and senior adult ministry.  He graduated from Nazarene Theological Seminary in 1978 with a Master of Divinity degree.  Pastor Stallings is a native of Jonesboro and a graduate of both Jonesboro High School and Arkansas State University.

His wife, Linda is involved in many ministries at Forest Home and serves as chief encourager for the Forest Home congregation!  Her love for children is evidenced by her continued leadership of the Children’s musical/dramas that are presented twice each year.  She also directs a musical ensemble for ladies called “Sweet Assurance.”  In 2003, Linda battled breast cancer and came to understand that “…everyday is a gift…” that is to be lived to the fullest.

For the North Arkansas District Church of the Nazarene, Pastor Stallings serves as a member of the District Advisory Board, Board of Credentials, and Finance Committee.  In the summer of 2001, he was elected to serve on the Board of Trustees for Southern Nazarene University, and was elected Chairman of the District Sunday School Ministries Board.

As part of his desire to make a difference in the community of Jonesboro, Pastor Stallings  is also involved in several community organizations.  When it's time to relax, Pastor Stallings enjoys golf, flying, and reading.

100_0370_1.jpgRev. Dave Persell  has been the Minister of Music and Drama at Forest Home Church of the Nazarene  since February of 2001.  The span of his twenty-five year career has  afforded him opportunities to serve in staff positions in Maryland, Iowa,  Tennessee, and Michigan.  Dave graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene  University in 1976 with a Bachelor's Degree in Religion, and  received  his Master's Degree in Religious Education in 1979 from Nazarene Theological  Seminary.

Dave and his wife, Debbie, have two grown children; Micah a  English/drama teacher in Riverside, California, and Nathan a youth pastor in  Duncan, Oklahoma.  Debbie teaches in the Nursing Department at Arkansas  State University and is the first person in the country to have earned a  Ph. D in homeland security nursing.

Dave's personal  interests include weight training, sculpting, painting, and  gardening.

Rev. Peter Kline, or as he is more formally known, pASTOR pETE, has been on staff at Forest Home since November 2005, serving as our Minister to Students--Junior High, High School and College ages.  He first started in ministry in Iowa in 1996 and has since then served in Colorado and Kansas before coming to Forest Home.  He graduated from Vennard College (Oskaloosa, IA) in 1995 with a double BA in World Missions Aviation and Bible Theology as well as an AS in Aviation Pilot Training from Indian Hills Community College (Ottumwa, IA).

pASTOR pETE and his wife, Danielle, have three children--Andrew, Nathan, and Makenzie.  Danielle works as the Family Center Director at an elementary school, in addition to helping pETE with the students, getting to know them and challenging them to live their lives for Christ--daily!  Their kids are involved in many extra-curricular activities that include, but are not limited to: Cross Country, piano, quiz bowl, Bible quizzing, softball, reading, and much more.  They each love learning new things that life has to offer them.

Some of pASTOR pETE'S favorite things to do include spending time with students just hanging out, visiting with families at sporting events, going to ASU football games (go Red Wolves), watching sports on TV (NASCAR and Michigan football), but mostly doing things with his family!

Rev. James Betts joined the staff at Forest Home on June, 1st 2008 as the Outreach Pastor.  He will be leading a church planting ministry, which will be Forest Home’s daughter Church in the community of Jonesboro.  Prior to coming to Forest Home, James has served in ministry as an Interim Pastor in Blytheville, Arkansas, and as a Youth Pastor in Franklin, Tennessee.

James graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University, located in Nashville, Tennessee. He holds a Bachelors degree in Religion with a focus in Pastoral Ministries.  He is currently enrolled at Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri, and is working towards a Master of Divinity degree, with a focus in starting new churches.

James and Lauren, his wife, met during their college years at Trevecca Nazarene University.  Lauren is originally from Jonesboro, and she is excited to be a part of a church plant ministry in her home town.  Lauren is a very gifted singer and is involved in the music and drama ministries at Forest Home.  While living in Jonesboro, James and Lauren have had a beautiful little girl named Savannah Grace.  We call her Gracie.  She has added real energy, excitement and many hours of entertainment to this family.

PhyllisBioPic.JPGPhyllis Scott has served on staff at Forest Home since 1996.  When she first came to work at Forest Home, Phyllis served as secretary to Pastor Stallings, but her dedication and ability allowed her responsibilities to grow.  Now, Phyllis coordinates involvement of the laity in all areas of ministry.  In this role, Phyllis oversees the Commitment process that allows each member to get involved in an area of ministry to which God is calling them, as well as overseeing the training of those who volunteer for many of our ministries.  She serves as a keyboard player for worship services, teaches Sunday School class, and serves in a thousand other ways at Forest Home.

Phyllis is originally from Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, and has a heritage of ministry, since her parents have been in pastoral ministry for many years.  Her husband Dan is a skilled photographer and photography technician.  Phyllis and Dan are the parents of two daughters, Stephanie and Ashley.  Stephanie moved back to Jonesboro after graduation from SNU and living and working in the Oklahoma City area for several years.  Ashley and husband, Bartlee Nance also live and work in Jonesboro.  They are the parents of Jackson and Bailee, both 7 years old and Levi born in October of 2009.

At home, Phyllis can be found reading a good book or enjoying time with the grandkids!!

100_0369_1.jpgDeb McFarlane joined the Forest Home team in the fall of 2003.  If you call in or stop by, Deb will be the one to greet you!  In addition to ably carrying out her duties as receptionist, Deb performs a variety of tasks for both the Minister of Students and the Minster of Music and Drama.

Deb and her husband John are the parents of two sons, Josh and Brian. Josh is a student at the University of Arkansas, and Brian is a student at Arkansas State University.
